Madam Woo takes inspiration from traditional Malaysian hawker food and serves up big, fresh flavours in a vibrant, fun and modern setting. Drawing influence from Chinese and other Asian cultures, our menu offers authentic classics alongside tasty modern dishes that your tastebuds will love.
Since 2013, we’ve opened four locations across New Zealand: Queenstown, Takapuna (Auckland), Christchurch and Hamilton. Our goal is to serve you delicious food in a fun setting so you can discover your new favourite restaurant. We host and cater functions and events of all sizes, including corporate events, birthday parties and more.
Award-winning Kiwi chef Josh Emett and successful restauranteur Fleur Caulton teamed up to open the first Madam Woo in Queenstown in 2013. Emett worked for Gordon Ramsay for more than 10 years before linking up with Caulton to collaborate on their first restaurant together, Rata. After the success of their first high-end dining experience in Queenstown, the pair went on to open Madam Woo, which has been well-received by both the local and tourist communities. Since then, Emett and Caulton have opened three additional locations nationwide as well as a spinoff of the Madam Woo brand, Hawker & Roll.
